Contractor
$66M contract (per The Trillium)
Supply Ontario chose Staples "after an open, fair and competitive process," according to the Education Minister's press secretary (CP24, Aug. 13, 2026). The Trillium reports that the single-vendor contract is worth $66 million. NDP Leader Marit Stiles put the figure at "$60 million" (CBC). Teachers reported that prices on the portal were higher than what their school board had paid before, and some teachers were told they would not get full access until Oct. 9. Staples did not respond to The Trillium's questions.
