Received SDF funding in the first three rounds under Monte McNaughton, then fourth- and fifth-round grants of over $1.5 million apiece awarded by David Piccini. Per The Trillium's analysis, the manager of the group that runs Hammer Heads gave almost $10,000 to PC Party causes from 2019 to 2025, including over $2,000 to McNaughton's riding association while he was in charge of the fund. According to Ministry of Labour records disclosed through freedom of information and reported by The Trillium (Sept. 17, 2026), it was among recipients of third-round SDF grants that had not submitted reports before receiving subsequent funding. The records do not explain why. The labour minister's office says the ministry checked in on recipients in other ways and that some eventually delivered their results; spokesperson Michel Figueredo said every agreement includes "mandatory activity reports, strict financial controls, including third-party audits." No wrongdoing is alleged against the recipient.
