$3.6M creative work (2025-26)
Ontario's Finance Ministry paid Publicis about $3.6 million in 2025-26 for the "creative" work on the "Protect Ontario" ads, according to freedom of information records reported by The Trillium. Across government the relationship is larger: eight ministries paid Publicis about $9 million combined in 2024-25. In November 2025, Alexandra Sutton, deputy minister of intergovernmental affairs and Cabinet Office communications, told a parliamentary committee that Publicis is one of Supply Ontario's "vendors of record" and that the government chose the agency through "a competitive procurement." Publicis has produced commercials for Rogers Communications, Sleep Country and Visa.
