Lara McKendrick is President of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). She has publicly opposed Bill 98's removal of municipal green building standards, arguing that the OAA commissioned research showing site plan approval delays — not green design requirements — are the main cost driver in Ontario development. McKendrick has called for standardization across municipalities rather than elimination of higher standards.
